Road Repair Notice - Wall Street & Airport Rd
ITD is undertaking road repairs following the airport construction. The work begins 10/20 and is estimated to be completed by the end of the week. There will be traffic control measures in place. Please use caution and leave extra time to reach the School.
City Elections
2025 is an election year for the City of Stanley. Municipal elections will take place on Tuesday, November 4th.
Open Seats
City Council Seat 3: 4-year term

Mayor: 4-year term

Requirements for Candidates
Candidates for City elected office must be qualified City electors, meaning they are:

At least 18 years of age

A United States citizen

Candidate's primary address must be within City limits

Address of candidate's voter registration must match the residence address provided on the Declaration of candidacy

Candidate must be a resident of the City for at least 30 days prior to submitting their Declaration.

Candidates must submit a Declaration of Candidacy accompanied by a Petition of Candidacy signed by at least five (5) qualified City electors that have been verified by the County Clerk's Office.
The candidate filing period will open on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 8:00 am
The deadline for filing Declarations of Candidacy is Friday, August 29th 2025 at 5:00 pm.

The deadline for write-in candidate filing is September 5th, 2025 at 5pm.

Voting Requirements
You must provide a photo ID, or sign a Personal Identification Affidavit.
To vote in City of Stanley elections your ID must list your address in the City of Stanley
Election Day
Polls are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on November 4th.
