Event Rentals

The City of Stanley rents Pioneer Park and the Community Building as event spaces. Event bookings are first come/first serve and require a full payment of the rental fee and security deposit at the time of booking. Please note, we do not rent the Pioneer Park back to back as we want everyone to be able to enjoy this beautiful public park. Cancellations can be made within the first thirty days for a full refund. Please fill out our request form and we will be in touch with you soon with further details.

Pioneer Park and the Picnic Pavilion are fully booked for 2025.

Reservations for 2026 can be made after Sept 1, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

?

Is there water and power at the park?

There are three spigots you can get water from at the park and there are some outlets but you will likely need to bring outdoor extension cords.

?

How many people can I have at each location?

The capacity of the community building is 250 people.

The ball field can accommodate up to 1000 people and the picnic pavilion can comfortably accommodate 20-30 people.

?

How many tables and chairs are at the community building and park?

At the Community Building there are approximate 100 chairs and 13 8ft long tables. Tables and chairs must remain inside.

There is one picnic table at the pavilion and at least 4 picnic tables at the park. If any tables are moved they must be returned to their original location. You may also bring your own tables, chairs, and tents to the park. Be mindful of the irrigation system if you are using stakes.

?

What do we do with our trash?

You are responsible for taking care of all your event's trash. There is a dumpster in the community building parking lot. You will be given the code to the dumpster with your community building rental.

For park rentals under 100 people there is a free public dumpster across from the Meditation Chapel near the park. If the dumpster is full you must bring your trash elsewhere. If your event is over 100 people or you plan to have lots of trash, you will need to rent a dumpster from Clear Creek Disposal.

?

Are there bathrooms at the park?

There are two vault toilets at Pioneer Park. If your event has over 100 people you must rent your own toilets (from Clear Creek Disposal).

?

When do the sprinklers/irrigation get turned off?

If you would like to use an area of the park but the irrigation/sprinklers may be running, contact the city and we will do our best to accommodate. The irrigation system is turned off for all booked events.

?

Whats the weather like this time of year?

Average temperatures for each month can be found here.

Weather in Stanley varies greatly and can change quickly because it is located at a high elevation and surrounded by mountains. The most accurate weather forecast can be found at weather.gov

?

Does the Community Building have a projector or TV we can use?

No, you must bring all audio visual equipment you will want to use. There is a projector screen on one wall that can be used. We also suggest bringing some extension cords. There is a TV you can use but you will need to bring everything to hook up to the TV.

?

How many place settings are available at the Community Building?

There are enough plates, silverwear, etc for about 100 people. We would suggest bringing extra utensils and plates/bowls to be sure you have enough.

?

Can you have alcohol at the Park or Community Building?

As long as no one is selling alcohol and you bring your own you may have alcohol at both the community building and park. You will need to sign an alcohol liability waiver and submit it to the city.

?

How do I know if I will get my security deposit back?

Please send the city two checks, one for your payment and the other for your security deposit. We will hold the security deposit check until after your event. If there is no damage or mess your check will not be deposited. All trash must be cleaned up and facilities cleaned and returned to the state they were in prior to the rental. The City will check the irrigation system to make sure there are no holes in any of the water lines at the park.

?

Can I have a campfire up there?

No fires of any kind are allowed at the city park. You may use gas grills. Fireworks, which includes sparklers, are prohibited.
